What to expect from Music & Media 2020

Music & Media 2020 seminar & workshop program once again will be touching upon a multitude of relevant topics including – but not limited to – current state and forecasting in live and recorded music & media, sustainability, inclusivity, internationalisation, publishing, sync and politics. The current state will be assessed, the trends will be highlighted and the future will be brainstormed.

Besides the usual suspects, this year, we will welcome various initiatives aiming to shape the future of the music industry into our gathering.

We will reveal the 2020 program throughout the coming months.

The two-day program includes thought-provoking keynotes and fruitful panels, bringing new ideas and perspectives into the mix. In 2019, the hot topics included listening trends presented by IFPI, expert tips on touring, distribution and international breakthrough, exclusive market insights to Russia, China, India and Mexico, wide range of insightful sync content involving blockbuster productions and keynote interviews with representatives from Sony Music Entertainment, Rolling Stone, Cirque du Soleil and PRS for Music.

Industry leaders and artists take over the stage and share exclusive insights with the Music & Media delegates. Music & Media 2019 program welcomed on stage speakers including Daniel Lieberberg (Sony Music Entertainment), Diane Quinn (Cirque du Soleil), David Fricke (Rolling Stone), Liz Snair (The Orchard), David Price (IFPI), Lydia Conolly (HarrisonParrott), Robert Meijerink (Eurosonic), Sami Valkonen (PRS for Music) and Marika Makaroff (Gatsy Animations).

In the intimate workshops settings, the seminar topics are explored in detail and discussed among a dedicated group of people, under the direction of select industry experts. The workshops are praised for their sharing atmosphere where learning from one another allow for long lasting connections that last even after the seminars are finished. 2019 workshops topics included inclusivity by Keychange, sync by Music Finland, Music Moves Europe venue support by LiveDMA and audience development for independent labels by Spotify.
