Kadri Tali (Nordic Symphony Orchestra)

The Nordic Symphony Orchestra is an international symphony orchestra founded by its music director Anu Tali and manager Kadri Tali in 1997 to develop cultural contacts around the world. Today the NSO has members from 10 countries bringing together 100 musicians from the world’s leading orchestras.

Nordic Symphony Orchestra has made its European debuts in Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Munich Herkulessaal, Budapest “Palace of Arts” and in Vienna Kozerthaus as well as preformed on many festival grounds.

NSO have gained attention of international media channels. Television channels NHK Japan, ARTE, ARD, Deutsche Welle and Finnish YLE TV have made documentaries about the orchestra and its music director Anu Tali.

The first record of NSO, “Swan Flight” (Warner Classics/ Finlandia Records) won the “Echo Classics Award” in 2003. The second record “Action. Passion. Illusion” was released in 2006 by Warner Music and “Strata” in 2010 under the label ECM.
